Pabi and Jimah are happily married and living a peaceful life when disaster strikes in the form of a terrible accident which leaves Jimah scared for life. Unable to live with his new features, Jimah's anger and hurt lead him down a rabbit hole of violence and depravity while Pabi is left to wonder where her life will lead.
In 2011 Sinking Sands received nine African Academy Award Nominations including Best Cinematography.
